Every year on 8th March, the world comes together to celebrate International Women’s Day - a moment to recognise the achievements, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere, while also reminding ourselves that the work toward equality isn’t quite finished yet. (If it were, we’d all be putting our feet up with a celebratory cuppa and a biscuit by now)

Each year carries a slightly different emphasis, and 2026 encourages something so simple but so powerful: a spirit of generosity, collaboration, and lifting one another up.

“When We Give, We Gain.”

It’s a phrase that sounds wonderfully wholesome, but it carries a deeper truth. When we support, educate, and empower one another, everyone benefits.

At Nice ‘n’ Naughty, this idea has been part of our DNA since day one. We’ve never seen ourselves as just another adult retailer on the high street or online. Of course, we sell products designed to help people feel good (which we’re rather proud of), but what truly matters to us is the bigger picture.

We’re educators.
We’re a safe space.
And above all, we’re a community.

For far too long, conversations around pleasure, and self-exploration have been treated as something slightly scandalous, whispered about behind closed doors, if at all.  Women in particular have often been expected to stay quiet about their bodies, their curiosity, and their desires.

Frankly, f*** that. 

In 2026, the idea that women shouldn’t speak openly and confidently about their own pleasure feels about as outdated as dial-up internet or MySpace. Women deserve knowledge, confidence, and the freedom to explore what makes them feel good unapologetically.

That’s where community, generosity, and openness come in.

When we share knowledge, we empower someone else to understand themselves better.
When we create welcoming spaces, we make it easier for people to ask questions they might have been too shy to ask before.
And when women support other women, we help dismantle decades of unnecessary stigma - one honest conversation at a time.

For us, “When We Give, We Gain” isn’t just a slogan for a single day in March. It’s how we approach everything we do. Whether it’s providing advice, offering inclusive spaces, or simply reminding people that pleasure and self-care are completely natural parts of life, our goal is always the same: to help people feel informed, confident, and comfortable in their own skin.

Because empowerment doesn’t have to be serious all the time. Sometimes it starts with a chat, a laugh, and the realisation that you’re not the only one who’s ever had a question that made you go a little red in the face.

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the power of openness, support, and shared knowledge. Because when we give confidence, understanding, and community to one another - we all gain a little more freedom to be ourselves.

And that, if you ask us, is well worth celebrating.
